Training
Trinity gained accredited centre status with Awarding Body, CACHE (Council for Awards in Children’s Care and Education)in November of 2004 and has gone from strength to strength over the past 3 years.
The centre has a Centre Co-ordinator, full time Assessor and sub-contracted Internal Verifier, and is currently approved to deliver the following qualifications:
- NVQ level 2 Playwork
- NVQ level 3 Playwork
- CCLD (Children’s Care Learning and Development level 2
- CCLD level 3
- CCLD level 4
- Transitional Unit – Early Years to Playwork
The Centre is currently running the Playwork qualifications and aims to deliver the CCLD and Transitional awards early next year. There are 39 candidates currently working towards their level 2 and level 3 qualifications, with most of these candidates having been recruited via word of mouth.
The Centre is an approved and registered provider with Sure Start Northumberland who is the sole funder of the centre.
The Training Centre continually strives to maintain high standards of quality and also to look at new qualifications to add to our programme. We are currently looking to train a second Assessor due to our growing portfolio and number of candidates.
It is also our ambition to develop the Training Centre even further by delivering tailored training events in the above fields. This is something that we hope would bring in further income to the centre and the organisation.
